Notice the bee having the time of it's life! This is my first year successfully growing sunflowers. Normally the deer get to them within the first month.
We are growing mammoth sunflowers - it stands about 9 feet tall!
But is the head supposed to droop like this? I know the head is heavy.. but will it snap off? Maybe the sunflower is depressed about the loss of
another pumpkin?
I so do NOT have a green thumb.

I have never grown sunflowers, but on my father's farm they always looked like this.
They might be sad about the pumpkins though - what a tragedy!
Yep, that's what they do! Leave them there, as they dry the birds will eat the seeds. You know, the birds and the bees...hehehe.
